SAMUEL LOCKETT – RISING AUSSIE JUNIOR TENNIS ATHLETE !!

Power On Australia are extremely proud supporters of Samuel Lockett, a rising Aussie junior tennis athlete who has his sights set on becoming a tennis professional for Australia in the coming years. Samuel at only 14, currently plays in the Australian Junior Tournament circuit and is climbing the rankings to now be ranked in the top 800 men in Australia. He has already won far too many accolades to list here, as such is well on his way to achieving his goal. Power On Australia looks forward to supporting him along the way.

With Power On Australia’s support, Sam will be able to take his tennis to the next level, without the worry of how he can get there.

Boyd Lockett, Power On Australia’s CEO said “He works so hard in pursuit of his dreams and it is so good to see him starting to reap the rewards for all his effort applied. POWER ON Samuel – we are all looking forward to supporting you in your exciting future tennis career!”

  • SVG – IGBT Based Power Factor Correction

    August 8th, 2018 | by

The SVG represents the latest generation technology in the power factor correction field.  By eliminating the need for switched capacitors and providing dynamic step-less compensation, the SVG offers high performance in a compact package (including wall mounting options)!

It operates by detecting the load current on a real-time basis through external CT’s and determining the reactive content of the load current.  The data is analysed and the SVG’s controller drives the internal IGBT’s by using pulse width modulation signals to make the inverter produce the exact reverse reactive current of the corresponding load reactive content.

This is injected to the grid to compensate the reactive content of the load current.  By adjusting the output voltage amplitude and phase angle to by directly controlling the AC side current, the SVG can absorb or generate var according to the load reactive power to the grid voltage level.

Power On Australia can provide these and other Power Factor Correction related products and services.

Touchpoint Technology Mining Communications Infrastructure Trial

    Touchpoint 2 Touchpoint 1

Touchpoint Technology in Atarmon NSW, had a pressing need for a complex, customised redundant DC Power Supply for an arduous environment, in a very limited timeframe.
Touchpoint Technology is a handpicked team of IT geniuses who specialise in bespoke data centre hardware solutions. In keeping with their stellar history of providing value with creative solutions and simple implementation, Bill approached us looking for support in providing power to a Huaweii communications hub.
Within 48 hours, a consensus solution had been reached, involving end user input as well as the client, a detailed scope and specification agreed to, draft schematics provided, with timeframes for delivery laid out.

This resulted in a heavily customised system begin designed, built, tested and programmed in house, ready for delivery to Perth in less than 5 days. The end user is one of the largest mining operators in Australia, with requirements for extreme reliability and robustness, along with mining specific power requirements, that need to function in some of the harshest environments on earth.

    Client Feedback
‘I spoke to the client today, and we were advised that the unit is up and running on site, and he is one happy customer. Implementation was simple, the modular design means the client feels service and management is exceptionally easy, and the quality of information the system provides is excellent. While it’s still early days in proving performance, the combination of brand and specification makes the client expect more than 30 years of trouble free service.

Based on current performance, our client expects this design to be the standard expected when they roll out the improved communications system Australia wide later in 2016.

Power On’s support and ease of transacting were exceptional, and every promise made was delivered on’.

Power On Australia appointed Eaton Industries ‘DC Integration Partner’

For many years Power On Australia has been selling and engineering complete Eaton DC configurations, but today marks a special occasion as Power On Australia has officially been appointed as Eaton’s only ‘DC Integration Partner’ initially for Queensland and Northern Territory.

This means that we can officially design, build and integrate a fully engineered and Eaton endorsed solution, which can be delivered to you in a fraction of the time that you would experience if you were ordering the same equipment from Eaton themselves – hence the reason this partnership was formed.

To assist with this new appointment, Power On Australia will be the only Eaton Power Partner that will be stockists of the Eaton DC products range, along with ancillary items such as enclosures, front terminal batteries, cable sets and switch gear.
