The Eaton ExoCab18 – Macro100 is designed to house telecommunications and IT equipment in harsh environmental outdoor conditions. The unit is a complete backup power system with outdoor environmental conditions. Typical applications include 4G and 5G telecom network base stations, road traffic management electronics, and railway signalling systems.
Mining, water treatment and electrical utilities can also use the system to house and support communications and control critical networks. The Eaton ExoCab18 – Macro 100 is designed to work in the harshest environments.
Features
The system includes the Eaton ExoCab outdoor cabinet and the Eaton APS6 DC power system. The modular system uses plug-in modules ranging from 2kW to 12kW, with separate compartments for up to 300Ah of 48V batteries.
The Eaton ExoCab18-Macro100 uses a DC-powered thermosiphon heat exchanger for cooling and power compartment. Fans circulate internal air to the heat exchanger supplying maximum cooling and speed-controlled to minimise energy consumption and noise output. The cabinet and DC system are controlled by the Eaton SC200 system controller, with Ethernet, USB, RS232, an inbuilt web server, Modbus, and SNMP.
The Eaton ExoCab18-Macro 100 cabinet is stocked in Australia for rapid deployment and designed to work in Australia’s harshest environments. Manufactured from marine-grade aluminium and stainless steel and finished with a powder coating to remain corrosion-free. The cabinet doors feature concealed hinges, alarmed door switches, and multi-point locking to resist vandalism and unauthorised entry.
